Project Pinterest: Baker's Twine

Last week, I attempted to make this baker's twine with crochet thread and permanent markers.

Yeah...that didn't work out so great. Let's put it this way, the marks on the string were so bad I couldn't even get a picture.

But then I went to Pinterest and tried again and found this tutorial using white thread and embroidery floss.

My version actually came out really well! It was super easy to do, and I love that I can make this in any colors, and I can even combine colors other than white, as long as I have the thread!

The Rules:

1. Decide which pin you'd like to recreate.
2. Create it!
3. Flop or success, create a blog post about your re-do and include the original pin's url.
4. Add the Project Pinterest button to your post so others can join in too!
5. Link up and check out other bloggers' posts!

Alright, well, I"m going to go crawl back to bed and hope whatever this horrible cold/cough/fever thing is goes away soon! But you should go check out some of the other projects by clicking on the Project Pinterest badge up there!

It is so pretty, but what is baker's twine? Like to tie up a turkey's legs when you cook it? I'm clueless! Hope you start to feel better pronto!

Happy to see it worked for you....even if it was the second time trying :)

Good to know! I had already pinned your first pin, so I was very interested to hear how it turned out for you. I will definitely have to try the second one.

I tried this exact thing a few weeks ago. I'm glad to know it wasn't just me. What a great solution though!
