Acadia National Park, Maine

The other night, AJ and I spent some time going through some of my older scrapbooks (at least, the ones I have here in Baton Rouge!)

And I found this layout that I don't think I ever shared! But its one that I love :)

It does amuse me to see how my style has changed (and how it hasn't!) The one thing I think I miss on this layout is the journaling. I remember lots of the stories when I look at the pictures, but no one else would know them if they looked at this layout.

But, its just not my style to go back and change a layout once its completed (and in this case, has been complete for three years!)

Would you, or do you, go back and rework old layouts? Or are you like me and leave them as they are?

your layout is great and i never go back and change a layout. once it is done it is done. i don't have to have everything perfect when i am scrapping for myself. it is what it is.

What a cool layout! Looks like a beautiful place to visit!! I would leave it but that's me! I can't go back..too much ahead of me and to catch up on!

Cool layout. Maybe if you wanted to share the stories you could put them on a tag and hide it in a pocket behind a photo, that way you dont mess with the layout and are really just detailing the story.

I'm with you, what's done is done. I have too much I want to do and obsess over my current pages too much to go back and worry about the old ones. I consider them time capsules that show the evolution of my style anyway.

I love the layout and all the pictures you managed to use. I may rework a layout several times before it is finished , but once it is in the book, it is done - no going back...lol. I still struggle with the journaling, but made it a point in my last scrapbook to recoed my thought, makes it much more fun for someone that didn't experience it to get a feel for what was going on.

This is a great layout!!
Funny you should mention this as I said I would never change a layout, as looking at the finished layout gives me memories of who I was with when I made that particular layout.
But the other night I was also going through my old layouts and there was one I did of Heather in band, and I really didn't like how it turned out and want to change the whole thing.

I love all the pictures on the layout and what great pictures they are too! Also the tag, or parking stub in the corner! The only layouts I've ever changed are the very first layouts I ever did. It's kind of a long story, but I didn't realize that the paper that came IN the page protectors wasn't what you were supposed to use. Once I was introduced to patterned paper, I had to go back and redo those pages. Hahahahahaha! There's more to the story, but that's the short version :)

I have never gone back and redone a layout! Like one of the previous commenters added you could always do hidden journaling on a tag behind a layout. I often do this so it doesn't mess with the flow of my pictures. I say leave alone as it represents your scrapping style of three years ago. By the way, I found you through Tracy's blog, as she mentioned you!
