Make Your Own Slime

Happy Weekend Eve everyone!

Today is the last day to enter the fall scrapbook giveaway!

I am so happy that this week is almost over! Its been crazy, and I'm so looking forward to celebrating our -1 Wedding Anniversary with AJ tomorrow :)

Tuesday, I was at Emily's sharing some of my Halloween decor. Yesterday, I shared a free Halloween subway art download. So in keeping with the Halloween vibe, I thought I'd share a really fun tutorial today.

I used this tutorial to help me (although I did multiply my recipe by 7 because I am making it with my entire class today!)

You will need:
Elmer's School Glue
Borax (which can be found with the laundry detergent at most major grocery stores, hardware stores, and of course, Target!)
Water
Two cups
Food coloring (unless you want white slime)
Ziploc bag

Step 1:
Mix 4 oz glue (or 1/2 cup) with 1/2 cup water. At this time, add a drop or two of food coloring if you want fun colored slime. Mine will be pink!

Step 2:
Combine 1 teaspoon Borax with 1/2 cup water. Unless you are making this with all of your chemistry classes. Then combine 7 cups of water with 35 mL Borax!

Step 3:
Combine the two mixtures into one bowl and begin to mix with a spoon. It will get harder to mix, at that time, pull out the slime and kneed with your hands. There may be some water left in the mixing bowl, that is okay, just leave it there. As you kneed your slime will start to form a gooey, stretchy mixture.

Store your slime in a plastic baggie, preferably in the refrigerator.

And that's it! There are only 3 steps to making fabulous slime!

Would you be excited to make slime in school? I'm sure hoping my kids are!
