Wedding Bands

This weekend, AJ and I went to buy our wedding rings. We actually ended up going Saturday morning for the rings instead of Friday night (due to work and traffic issues!) I'm really glad we waited though, because it took us a long time to find the rings. By going Saturday morning, I didn't have to stress out about the store closing soon!

I tried on lots and lots of rings.

Top Row:
The Jared's picture, to fill in the gap in my collage, and so that they get credit for all of these pictures that they took (that are not mine!)
Enhancer wrap I think they are really popular, but it looked too much like one ring with my engagement ring, and I really like when it looks like two separate rings.
Second Row:
Contoured band This was actually made to match my engagement ring, but it was too traditional for me (Which was shocking! I'm usually super traditional, but I wanted something a little different with my very traditional engagement ring!)
Twisty ring This one was in my original top three, I was a big fan!
Third Row:
Super twisty ring I really liked this one, but my engagement ring needed to fit into the grooves, so it was off center. That would have driven me crazy!
Contoured band with a little something extra This was one of my favorites online, but with my ring, it just didn't fit. There was a gap between my engagement ring and this one, and I didn't like how the gap looked.
Bottom Row:
Fancy eternity ring I liked this one a lot, but it had the same problem as the super twisty one - to get my engagement ring to fit into the grooves, it would be off center!
Infinity ring This was one I loved from looking online. It was in the original top three too.

While all of these rings were beautiful, and I would have been happy with the infinity ring, the twisty ring or a third ring I'm calling the "ribbon ring" (but can't find on the website), none of them were exactly it.

Then, the woman who was helping us pulled this ring out of a drawer behind the counter. I don't think I would have picked it for myself, because I thought it was too wide. But when I put it on, it looked like it came with my ring!

Top Row: Our rings together, with my engagement ring
Middle Row: AJ's ring ~ Our rings
Bottom Row: The cute boxes ~ My ring

AJ had fun picking out his ring too. But he also ended up changing his mind from what he originally wanted (just like I did!) He thought he wanted a very plain band, with absolutely no diamonds. When he was trying them on, he wasn't finding anything. Then he tried on one with diamonds, just to see what it looked like, and he really liked it!

I love that our rings have a similar wave in them, so they look like they "match"! I'm really happy with how it all turned out, but I don't want to wait a year to be able to wear it!

How was your weekend? I hope you have today off too!

Love your choices! I'm a big fan of wedding bands that can be worn without the engagement ring. Sometimes I can't wear my engagement ring for whatever reason and I like having a wedding band that can stand up on its own and not look like an afterthought.

I think it's special they way they are wrapped up, so you can't play with them until the wedding. It will be like opening a present on Christmas when you get to see it again! It's beautiful, both of them! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

What a dizzying array of choices! I love the ones you two ended up with. They really compliment each other! I think you'll like having a bit wider band. For me, the wedding band had to stand alone in case I wasn't wearing my engagement ring with it and yours certainly does! I like how they are all wrapped up and waiting for you!

Oh wow, your rings look great together! What a serendipitous find that wedding band turned out to be. I’m glad that you both ended up with diamonds. I hope that the strong and unbreakable quality of diamonds will reflect on your marriage, and keep your love strong forever.
