Monday the weather was crazy (as its been all week!) 60 degrees and foggy. I wore a sweatshirt to work (it was "comfy day") and I was too hot!
After work, we went for a walk. We decided to mail most of our cookies from the cookie swap to my brother, who is starting his finals at law school this week. Of course, I took advantage of the nice weather to take pictures of all of the Christmas decorations in our neighborhood too.
Our neighborhood is very coordinated with their seasonal decor. They all do mums in the fall, tulips in the spring and white Christmas lights.
At home, in the suburbs, where everyone's houses are more spread out, I love when everyone has different decor. And I'm a huge fan of multi colored Christmas lights - my dad always used them on the house growing up, and they are currently adorning our tree and window :)
But here, where everything is right next to each other, the coordination works. The white lights and the evergreen swags with their big red bows and the old brick homes and buildings makes it feel like a magical Christmas world that stretches on forever (or at least until it hits the lake!) I'm definitely going to miss this next year!

looking awesome and our weather is just like yours-- for the last 2 days mid 60's- i want cold and chilly and a white christmas!!
I like lights and greenery! We've had white lights on all of our trees for a long time but we added multi color to our family room tree a few years ago and I love it! Our bedroom tree also has multicolored lights.

I have to say I love white lights on the tree, but the color lights outside. We keep outside simple. Three wreaths with red bows and usually a row of lights.
Beautiful page.....I have always favored colored lights. When I was a kid, we always had the colored large bulb lights. As the years have gone by I have started to appreciate the white lights as well.
