Project Life {Week 28 + Week 29}

Happy Friday everyone!

To be honest, I'm a little sad that it is Friday, because that means my break is almost over!

I've been using my break to catch up on some scrapping, and especially Project Life. I just finished a few pages about Thanksgiving and decorating the house for Christmas! (And I still can't believe that the holidays are all over!)

Week 28: Thanksgiving
Top Row: A hot drink after Christmas shopping on Michigan Ave
Middle Row: Trees with Christmas lights and their fall leaves ~ Berry "confetti" on a tree
Bottom Row: AJ assembling our tree ~ Testing the lights ~ An ornament from last year

I used an insert this week. On the front is a picture of our tree. Behind this is an article from AJ's company newsletter featuring a project he did at his plant. I didn't take a picture of it though, since I'm not sure if everyone in the article wants their names, workplace and job titles broadcast on my blog!

Top Row: AJ watching football on Thanksgiving ~ "Walter", our turkey, cooking ~ The turkey all done!
Bottom Row: I did not know that brussel sprouts came like this, but I loved it! ~ Acorn cupcakes ~ Cooking the turkey

Week 29: Cookie Swap Week!
Top Row: Setting up the cookie table ~ The appetizer table
Bottom Row: Our tree, with our new tree topper ~ AJ putting the new tree topper on our tree (we never had one last year!)

Top Row: Giving blood at school
Bottom Row: My favorite mac and cheese ~ Freezing at the bus stop ~ More football

Well, I'm headed to work today to do a little grading. I realized that our progress reports are due on January 14, and unless I want next weekend to turn into a Columbus Day repeat, I need to get some grading done asap!

Other than that, we have no plans this weekend! I'm so excited for another quiet weekend with AJ :)

What are your plans for this weekend?

It is sad when you know your break is almost over. At least you still the weekend to cushion its blow a little! It was rough on my younger one going back on Wednesday so we are happy it's Friday!!!
Your pages look great! You made a lot of progress. The snowpeople ornament of you two is so cute! All of your food and decorations shot are wonderful! I've seen brussel sprouts like that in the stores but I haven't cooked them that way..do they cook on the stalk?
Sorry you have to go in to grade today but you are smart to get some of it done ahead of time, it will be hard enough getting back into the swing of things next week without having a work weekend looming over you!

Lots of great shots, Katie!
I love that you get just as many good shots of things as you do people. :)

It's sad that the holidays are over, but it's so much fun to have this record to look back on, and your December Daily! I know exactly how you feel about your break, that's how I was on Tuesday :( It was good to get back though and get into our routine again. Two more weeks and we have Martin Luther King off. Hahahahaha!
