So, I have a confession.
I totally stopped scrapping two weeks ago. I finished my last Project Life page about Chicago, and I kind of freaked out.
Before that, it hadn't really hit me that we live here. It all kind of felt like a vacation.
Suddenly, I realized, while we may live in the mid west again one day, I won't ever live in Chicago ago. Like, in the city.
Now, don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Baton Rouge, our apartment is lovely, and I really like how close my job and Super Target are.
But I miss the city - being able to walk everywhere, having restaurants, museums, parks, the beach, basically everything, right outside of our door.
And the realization that we won't ever live in Chicago again wasn't pretty. I couldn't even watch Mike and Molly, and don't get me started on what happened when I noticed Ferris Bueller's Day Off was on TV!
So, I'm going to share all of my Chicago Project Life pages with you right now.
And that is that. All of Chicago. Documented in scrapbooks + Project Life.
I do have one more layout about Chicago. But I'm not sure when I'll be up for making it, let alone sharing it! But I am excited to start scrapping about Baton Rouge!

i am sure it is a huge change! so glad you started the pl so that you have some many memories at your fingertips!
It is sad to think about but you've got all of those great memories saved in your PL album. I'm sure you'll have lots more in Baton Rouge too.
Change is super hard to deal with . . . it's good that you're articulating how you're feeling. Maybe an art journal page or three would be in order? I'm half kidding here, but I'm picturing a female silhouette with a drawn-out Nooooooooooooooo! next to her with dramatic colors?? No? Sending good thoughts your way. ~ Laura
Awwww...I am so sorry that you are so sad about leaving Chicago...it is a really wonderful city. Glad that you have so much of it documented and can stroll down memory lane whenever you want. Keep your chin up...BR will feel like home soon! Have a great weekend!
I'm sorry! It must have been an amazing place to live, and you are so lucky to have lived there. I know what you mean though. When we went to Chicago, Evan said that he thought downtown Chicago was so much better than ours here. And I had to agree with him. I even made a scrapbook layout about it :)
Oh Katie, I just want to give you a big hug.
So sorry you are missing your wonderful city, but you will make new, fun and exciting memories here as well.
Reading your journal pages really pulled at my heart strings.
I feel sad if we buy a new vehicle and have trade in the new one. I get so attached to things and places as well.
I have lived here since I was about 3 and can't even think of leaving....and this isn't a very exciting place to live, lol.
Hugs to you my friend
It's like vacation depression. You know when you've been on a great vacation and then you come home and you're depressed and all you can think about is the great place you just spent a week at? Only this is at a whole other level. I'm so sorry you're missing Chicago :( It was a great idea to share all your pages at once, they look great! I'm excited about see the BR pages!!
