Find Your Voice Lesson 2 Layout

Good morning!

Can you believe that I am posting on a Saturday?! I can't!

But I really love this layout that was inspired by the summer story telling workshop Find Your Voice (more information here, here and here!)

Lesson 2 was all about finding out who you are.

And I realized something, when I've got my camera in my hand, I don't let anything stop me. I don't care if people look at me funny while I'm lying down on the sidewalk trying to get a cool shot. I've got my camera with me, so its like my armor.

But, I don't like to share my scrapbooks with people because I'm totally afraid that they will read my journaling! I'm hoping that this workshop will teach me to be as confident in my writing as I am in my photography!

Are you playing along with Find Your Voice? What are you hoping to learn from the workshop?

For me, the part that's the hardest is the scrapping part. I dabbled in digital scrapping years ago, but fell out of the habit and I'm really intimidated by paper scrapping. I'm still unsure whether I'm going to jump into any of that while I'm doing Finding Your Voice or not.

I am so with you on that Katie, I love being behind my camera and treat it like a shield, funny thing is, I want to come out from behind that shield which is why I am taking this course! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥

I love this story and it so fits me too. I am constantly attached to my camera and no matter what no-one can make me feel small when I have it in my grasp. However try and get me in front of the camera and the bravado slips away. I am not photogenic at all,

I love hiding behind my camera too! I love that you are fearless with your camera too.

I love the LO. I am a bit opposite...I tend to feel very self conscious when I get the camera out. I am working on it though. :-)

Your layout is so lovely. I have loved this photo of you when you shared it on a past blog post.
I too take photos and don't worry what others think, lol.
Great page for the Find your Voice class.

I am still pretty shy when it comes to the camera, but I have a felling that is because I still don't know what I am doing. I am getting a little more comfortable with the journaling...I just keep reminding my self that it is all about getting the memory down on paper, doesn't have to be anything fancy. I really love your layout...it is one of my favorites that I have seen!

Love the layout, and the story! My camera is my armor too.. and sometimes it can get me into trouble. I nearly fell into a mad, rushing river flume once because I slipped on some rocks while trying to get the perfect picture - ouch! But I do love people to read my scrapbooks too. I think it's because I'm not very vocal when it comes to telling people how much I care for them, so I let my scrapbooks do it for me. Thanks for sharing with us!
