December 1

Its time to start the December Daily!

Last year, I wanted to make a December Daily, but waited to long to get it pre assembled and attempted to assemble as I went. That didn't work out so well.

This year, I waited too long again! But instead of making the same mistake as last year, I decided to make it on Shutterfly. I made one of their books before, and it was so easy, and now they've added a "customize page" feature, so you can go in an alter anything you want on the page, so its even better!

This is my first page. I had all ready set up all of my pages with the embellishments and the dates and blank picture and journaling boxes, so it was so easy to put this page together. I just took the picture last night, and dropped it into the page this morning, typed up my journaling and I was done!

I have a feeling I won't be giving up halfway four days into my December Daily this year!

I also thought I'd include the recipe for this delicious pie (or you can just look on the back of the nearest Nestle Toll House chocolate chip cookie bag, that's where I got it!) I made this pie once before, but only had pecans and not walnuts, and decided to just skip the nuts. Then my aunt made it for Thanksgiving, and she only had pecans, but she threw them in, and it was delicious, I had definitely made the wrong call on leaving them out!

1 unbaked pie shell (9 inches or 4 cups)
2 large eggs
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 325.
Beat eggs in a mixer until foamy. Beat in flour and both sugars. Beat in butter. Stir in morsels and nuts and spoon into pie shell.
Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a knife inserted halfway between the edge and the center comes out clean.
Serve warm, topped with vanilla ice cream.

Mmmmm, so yummy!

I hope you're having a great Friday! I can't wait, I get to leave work early today, so I better get there so I can get home! Well, by the time this posts, I'll be there, but you get the idea! I'll be back tomorrow with more December Daily :)
