WOYWW {176}

Hi everyone!

I can't believe it is only Wednesday. This week is dragging on and on. But, on the bright side, its time for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday!

Its been a long time since I linked up here...probably because my desk has been a messy mess with no room for scrapping for a long time! But thanks to a big clean up, and an even bigger burst of inspiration, my desk is a scrappy place once again!

I actually took this photo Tuesday night just before I went to bed, because let's be honest, there is no way I have enough time to take it Wednesday morning before I go to work! Its just too early in the morning. But rest assured that my desk looks exactly the same now (except for the cell phone, I brought that to work with me!)

In the middle is a layout in progress about my brother, who is in law school. I love this picture of him that I took of him after I dropped him off at his internship. I loved how the circles looked in Mary Pat's layout on Monday, and they inspired the rectangles here. I still need to add the journaling and some embellishment, but I was so exhausted that I just had to get to bed.

And everything else is left over from the layouts I'd been working on Saturday and Sunday!

Well, I'm off to go check out some other desks! If you want to see what What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday is all about, click on the button and head over to Julia's!

Katie I am really liking the the lines in your layout and the title work. You using those Jillibean corrugated alphas is inspiring me to do something with the ones I own.

That is an awesome page and layout! I love the rectangles and the lettering!! As you know, I've been getting back to my scrapping too. My desk looks like a bomb hit it, but it always does when I'm in process!!

Shhh, I take my photo the night before too :) I love what you have going on with the layout so far!! You know, I always see your yellow mat, but I never realized how big it was. What are the dimensions? (and where did you get it, if you don't mind? :)

Your page is looking great - the rectangles caught my eye right away. And I am glad you made room on that desk to scrap. I'll try and remember to check back to see the finished page.

Great desk, I love to see everyone's work in progress.
Your layout is awesome, love those rectangles.
I post in the evening about that day. I have always journaled in the evening, so this is a natural time for me to do it.

I like your layout-in-progress! Love the bold title with the corrugated alphas. I never got any of the Jillibean Soup ones and am now hankering after the AC ones . . . I sometimes do my post the night before (or at least get a draft ready to pop a morning picture into) -- morning is not my "brightest" time of day. lol Happy WOYWW from Laura #153 (and thanks for visiting me already)

That's a great layout, Katie. I love the big text, and the lines echoing the shape of the photo are brilliant. It gives a nice unity to the design which is so often lacking in many layouts that you see.

Thanks for your lovely comment - the art journal page is now finished if you want to pop back to my blog and have a look - I uploaded the post this a.m. It's such a gorgeous little book, and I'm really enjoying working in it. Hundreds of pages to fill lol!!

Happy belated WOYWW,

The rectangles do indeed make the layout. What a great photo too. I love all the jars of doo dads along the back of your desk. It is always nice to have things at your fingertips.

I try to remember to do the WOYWW photos and post Tuesday night but I rarely get it together in time. I'm impressed by those who can. See! I'm commenting on Friday!

Thank you for the kind words about Grandpa Kitty (Fido was his name, yeah blame the hubby for that one).

I love the font you've used on the LO, and the fact that you seem to be carving out some time to be a scrapper...it's hard I know.
