Gingerbread Wreath {Part 1}

Hi everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

Ours was very uneventful. After spending Friday at home (and at the doctor) after almost passing out at work, it turns out, I've been having migraines. I am so relieved, I was worried it would be something much more serious after getting so sick at work. Although I don't love the headaches, I'm happy that it is not something much worse.

So, we spent the weekend relaxing and doing not much of anything.

We did go see Flight on Saturday. I have to say, I didn't really like it. I'm not sure exactly what I didn't like about it - it wasn't a bad movie, I just wasn't thrilled. Fortunately, we went to the early movie, so we paid half price. I didn't mind not liking a half price movie!

Plus, we saw a bunch of previews for movies that are coming out around Christmas, and they looked really good!

I didn't get much crafting time in though :(

But, I do have a bit of a sneak peek for you.

My best friend, Liz, sent me this pin that she found.

gingerbread men wreath...So cute! Make from Felt

She really wanted to make this wreath using felt, but couldn't find directions on the original site, just a picture of the wreath. I have a feeling that this is made from actual cookies, based on what I've seen on the blog the pin links too!

So, I told Liz that I would find her a template to make this at home.

Shopping List:
Gingerbread colored felt. I used one sheet of felt for four gingerbread men. You probably only need 3 sheets, but I bought 5, just in case I messed up!
Puff paint - you can do all white, like the original pin, or you could do any colors that match your decor
Wreath form
Wide ribbon (to cover the wreath form)

Template:
Since I am the world's worst drawer, I googled "gingerbread man template" and found this template from this site.
This guy was a little too big for my wreath, so I resized him to fit. If you want to download the resized template, click here.

Well, I'll be back tomorrow with more details and hopefully a finished project! See you all then :)
