Happy Daylight Savings Time Ending Day!
How is your 49 hour weekend going? Ours has been a bit crazy.
We woke up early to run errands. I was pretty excited about these errands though, because they included a trip to the outlets and a trip to the brand new Trader Joe's that just opened!
The outlets trip went really well. A new hand mixer for only $11, running shoes for AJ, and lots of new holiday scented soaps and candles from Bath and Body Works (my favorite!)
But that's where they "going well" kind of stopped...
We tried to go to the new Trader Joe's, but the line was around the store and almost out the door entirely! If they'd had spinach dip on the shelves, I would have waited, but they didn't have it, so we decided to go back on a different day.
Instead, we headed to Target for our groceries. But we thought we'd treat ourselves to something at the cafe - at this point we were so so hungry!
We waited patiently on the really short compared to Trader Joe's line.
And as we stood there, a fire broke out in their microwave!
I don't just mean a little fire. This thing would not go out, and the paper from the fire was floating out of the food prep area into the cafe. An employee grabbed a piece of floating on fire paper just before it landed in my hair!
So we obviously didn't get any food at the cafe.
But on the bright side, Target itself didn't burn down, so we could still buy groceries!
And, I still managed to take all of my pictures for Scavenger Hunt Sunday!
So, all in all, a good day. You know, if you ignore the insane lines, lack of spinach dip and the fire...
But enough of that, on to the scavenger hunt!
Dress Up
When we first moved to Chicago, my mom sent me a Halloween Snoopy. I love his costume, and his jack o'lantern. And he even plays music!
Candy
We didn't get one Trick or Treater this year. But that didn't stop me from buying lots of candy! So now its all sitting in my house, waiting to be eaten :)
Pumpkin
AJ's fall favorite.
Spooky
As some of you probably already know, spooky is not my thing! I am so easily scared - I can't even watch scary commercials and expect to get a good night's sleep! This is as spooky as Halloween gets around here!
Orange
My fall wreath is waiting patiently to be hung up again, now that Halloween is over.
Well, I'm off to watch Knuckleball. And to enjoy the extra hour of sleep that we all get tonight!

I'm surprised they didn't have to shut down the whole store when the fire broke out. I never wait in lines if i can help it....nothing is worth it.
Sounds like you had a wild time at Target!! I'm so jealous of your Trader Joe's. Over time their won't be a line there. TJ's is a long time in the future for us in Oklahoma I am afraid.
Wow that was quite the outing you had. Can't image why you weren't able to eat at the café! (LOL)
Your Snoopy is adorable & I just love figures that play music.
We have lots of left-over candy too but at least had 25 kids show up.
Pumpkin Coffee, never had it but it does sound interesting.
Cute Décor, I don't like (scary movies) but don't mind scary decorations if they aren't to gory.
Pretty wreath. I'll be packing away Halloween this week and getting out the Thanksgiving stuff.
Such a lovely and adorable dress up, cool ideas and delightful captures...oops forgot what your spooky was, now I have to go back!
Now I remember BOO! that was cute, I knew I wanted to comment on that one! Great banner!
Loving the Orange picture! Visiting from http://scrappybaglady.blogspot.com/
I'm guess from I/G that you got into TJ's and got your dip!! Yay!!! At least you did well at the outlets and had a good story for the blog!
Snoopy is so cute. We still have lots of candy too, I"m looking into donating it somewhere.
I took all of my Halloween stuff down on Friday and got my Thanksgiving stuff up over the weekend. It's been nice having the extra time to get things done!
Whoa, that is quite the day! A fire, seriously? Crazy!! Snoopy is so cute and so are your Halloween decorations :) I have those same pumpkin spice K cups from target and love them too! Mike likes their sugar free pumpkin spice syrup to make coffee drinks with.
What a wild day you had!!! Love all of your pictures and the kids missed out not stopping at your place...you got the good stuff!
Oh my goodness, that seems almost like a sitcom episode with so many things going wrong. :)
I love Trader Joe's and really need to go more often but it's in a shopping center with crazy parking and is always crowded. So I am always putting it off.
And Bath and Body works is my favorite, too. I stock up on their soaps. I think we have six extra bottles right now, but we go through it so fast!
Sounds like you had an eventful weekend ;)
Love your scavenger hunt photos, especially your banner and wreath :)
